I think it's just a matter of time before you see full support from
Apple. It may just be a "Tuesday Update" as we have seen in the past
before. Most businesses will be like the rest of us with multiple
machines for playing different formats until it is more common.

Hi all,
I was looking for a way at this point of only doing
Blu-ray play back. As a more affordable solution to
buying a Blu-ray player. Sony has made announcements
that Blu-ray will be headed up market with new 2.0
players from the Blu-Ray partners. A Sony official has
said that there will be no licenses to Chinese
manufactures in the near future, Sony feels that these
manufactures had an adverse affect on the DVD player
market. When Sony does licenses to the Chinese they
will be more selective.
Apple software doesn't seem to support Blu-ray at the
moment especially movie playback. Toast only supports
Blu-ray Data, Blu-ray Data Disc can not be played on a
home Blu-ray player. That means HD home movies or a
media professional sample reels cannot be played on
a home Blu-ray Player, the type of machine to most
likely be in a casting office, or a producers office.
There are some materials that i wouldn't want to post
to the Internet, such as unreleased material. Disc are
also more likely to get seen by busy colleagues.
Apple is not going to the The National Association of
Broadcasters conference and trade show this year. If
there was going to be a big announcement for the pros
it would happen their. Many of the Pros desperatly
want Blue-ray support for Final Cut. It doesn't look
like it is going to happen soon.
Hopefully Apple won't decide on a Blu-ray Data Disc
only standard.
