Listmates,

HELP! I switched to Apple Mail 3.1 from Eudora 6.2. I have two
accounts, the .mac (imap) and this one which means (.pop). I can not
get Mail to allow me to mail out on this account. I can receive the
ArtCenter mail. I read this was a problem for others. Even with the
correct password Mail keeps saying wrong password can't send out
using the ArtCenter server. Frustrating but I have a worse problem.

I believe the problem with duplicate mail is only my .Mac mail. I
went from 200 emails up to 750 within two days in the inbox. It
seemed the more I sorted, read and tossed the worse the problem
became. I created rules to auto send certain mail to their
destination folders like in Eudora. Online I read try turning off
rules to see if it gets better. NOPE., seems worse.

On top of that some of the mail I imported from Eudora inadvertantly
changed every date to 1/4/08 no matter whether it was received or
sent in the last month. May have something to do with what was on the
.mac server but this kills legal work and references I can not afford
to lose. I resorted back to Eudora until I can figure this out.

I took Mail offline. In .Mac preferences I have all mail being
forwarded to the artcenter server and into Eudora. I am not sure how
I will transfer back the legal mail sent within the last two weeks
and are date/time sensitive material.

I only like the ability to receive mail with active links in it.
Other than that, I am not all that thrilled with Apple's Mail.

			Insight appreciated,
			Kristin
