[Mac-talk] Help with cell phone compatibility

Hi, all,

I have two questions regarding cell phone-mac
compatibility issues:

I'm wondering if any of you use a (currently
available)  Verizon cell phone (other than a palm
product) that connects and uploads to a MacBook (OS
10.4)?  

I've been coming to the conclusion that such a
creature doesn't exist.  I'm thinking that if I get a
cell phone with a memory card and I get an external
USB media reader that I would be able to move files
back and forth from phone to lap top in this way?  Is
this true?  Does anyone have a media reader that they
recommend for such a purpose?  Are there major
glitches I should be aware of?

I want to be able to transfer and save phone numbers,
photos, music files.
