Check if the ink has dried up. Even if its a new printer. Take out  
the ink cartridges and if they are transparent you can see the ink  
levels.
Try replacing the ink cartridges and print.
If the ink cartridges have full ink then try printing from another  
machine and see if you get same results. If not, then re-install the  
printer driver on the first machine and try again. If you do, then  
something more troubling could be wrong with the printer..
