[Mac-talk] ColorSync Profiles for Canon Pixma iP8500 Printer

Mac-Talk,

I want to start using Photoshop CS2 on my iMac to touch up and print a
number of older slides and color photos I¹ve shot over the years.  I have an
Epson 2400 scanner and a Canon Pixma iP8500 ink jet photo printer.  I¹ve
read through the Photoshop CS2 manual and it sounds like the color profiles
which come with ink jet printers are not very accurate.  Does anyone know of
any reasonably priced sources for color profiles for the Canon iP8500
printer?  I plan to use Canon glossy photo paper and Canon ink (I realize
the profiles depend on the paper and inks as well as the printer).   Any
suggestions or experience you have would be greatly appreciated!
